Weather Watch: No Jan. 31 Activities

We are closely monitoring the next round of winter weather expected this weekend for our area. Based on the forecast and after consulting with local emergency teams, all extra-curricular activities for Saturday, Jan. 31, have been canceled.

Any decision concerning our Monday school schedule will be shared with families no later than Sunday evening through email/text messages, our websites, social media, and local media stations. If you are not receiving our direct messages, please check your contact information in the Parent Portal.

DUAL ENROLLMENT OPPORTUNITIES

SIMS Academy partners with Lanier Technical College to offer dual enrollment students the opportunity to earn high school and college credits in a supportive enrivonment. A half-day or full-day program can be offered to students, so that they will be able to continue to participate in extracurricular activities.

 

CAREER PATHWAYS

Together with local industry, business, and community leaders, we identified the most necessary career paths in our region. Our instructors have been selected for their industry expertise, and all labs are equipped with the latest equipment.

 

STEP & YES PROGRAMS

Student Transition Enrichment Program (STEP) has worked alongside students with disabilities as they transition to life after high school so that they can reach their true potential. Youth Employment Services (YES) is a class for students with disabilities in their senior year of high school, with the goal of helping seniors be better prepared for independent employment after high school.
